US bid to block sun to stop warming

It says research into techniques such as giant mirrors in space or reflective dust pumped into the atmosphere would be "important insurance" against rising emissions. It lobbied for such a strategy to be recommended by a major UN report on climate change, the first part of which was published yesterday. The US has also attempted to steer the UN report, prepared by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), away from conclusions that would support a new worldwide climate treaty based on binding targets to reduce emissions. It demanded a draft of the report be changed to emphasise the benefits of voluntary agreements and to include criticisms of the Kyoto Protocol, the existing treaty the US Administration opposes. The final IPCC report, written by experts worldwide, will underpin negotiations to devise an emissions treaty to succeed Kyoto, the first phase of which expires in 2012. Fuck this stupid internet kiosk. Bah... Yeah I'm in NZ I've had fuck all sleep, I'm sick, and I'm sore from the other nights stage diving marathon. But fuck I'm glad to be on my way. It was a strange feeling on the plane, already missing people and then thinking I'll be missing US kids on the way home. Flights are weird. I did however watch the Worlds Fastest Indian, fucking sick dry lakes racing. Keep in touch with me. So a few days later and I'm in LA. America is a weird fucking place. Like all the plumbers vans say rooter on the side of them. I saw an add on tv for the 9/11 5th anniversary commemorative coin. Its gold, about the size of a two dollar coin, and has the twin towers in silver on it. But the towers are hinged and can stand up. The add was saying you could see them rise from the ashes or some shit. I though it was better that you could make them fall again. haha towers go up, towers go down. I got some sweet records too. Chain Of Strength : True Til Death, Life's Blood, Fairfuck, Green Rage, and the Strong Intention 10". I can't help myself. Soooo I'm off to Philly tonight. Went to work on monday morning, hadn't been there 20mins when I got the middle finger of my left hand caught in a

part 2
So I'm in ny and thought I would get up 2 hours before I needed to, but the story begins elsewhere.... So try and get a second hand mobile in the states, not a fucking chance. I went back to Headline records and picked up some more vinyl(the first Ringworm, tomorrow will be worse 2, and the MDC LP, if you cared). Hung out there talking shit with Mikey who works ther and waited for his friends April and Eti(think thats how you spell it) to show up. Headed off to some sketchy area to see Widespread Bloodshed (with Leith playing guitar), Lack of Interest, Brody's Militia, and Voetsek. There was another band but I didnt see them due to talking to April about food out the front. Bands were good , got hit in the nuts during Voetsek. Left LA on the 7th July, two things stood out. 1 there were avocado trees with fruit on them at the train station, and 2 there was this fucking brutal car accident we passed on the way to the station. This jeep upside down, but there was no roll cage on it so the roof was just flat. I dont see how anyone driving could not have died. It had just happened too, the cops had just shown up. So the trtain took fucking forever to get to San Francisco, it was late. I started talking to this girl as I got off the train and we talked on the bus on the way into SF, would have been nice to have someone to talk earlier on but what can you do? Got a taxi to Black Oak Books where I met up with xYosefx. The next three weeks are a blur of doing nothing: reading lone wolf and cub in the park, then sleeping, buying more records, eating a fuckload, going to shows, eating, buying records, eating, meeting rad people(the Embassy!!!!!), driving to SoCal with xYosefx to see Gather and others and seeing Greg Bennick sing Reflections with a band that had a guitarist from Vegan Reich playing for them, meeting up with Jacs, Kate, and Bart, going to see Schifosi, and then Driving to Seattle. Seattle is rad, such a nice place to look at. Spent a week there hanging out with a wonderful person named Hannah, and then having to leave. Spent two days in DC, and then to New York, where I went to Tompkins Square Park. I didnt see any of my brothers in a fight though, so I headed over to 7th and A where my friends ran the door so I didnt have to pay, I didnt end up fighting anyone from Boston. Long Overdue
Leaving melbourne: Ok so I woke up 1/5 hours before the alarm because it was so fucking cold, so, rather than being alone in a freezing empty room which was creeping me out, I decided to go for a walk. Went into the city and picked up the last few things I needed and went home to wait for the family to pick me up for the ride to the airport. There was still no sign of Carly and the $150 she still owed me so I'll put that down to never help people out financially again, well apart from the Raven. Drove out to Avalon and Dad told me next time he would give me $50 per flight not to have to drive me there ever again. I spent the flight sewing patches onto my shorts and listening to Le Tigre. The flight ended up being half an hour late, but Sarah waited for me for which I am eternally grateful. Hung out with Sarah, Aaron, Riva, Luke, Ben, Neil, Lex, and Holly. Had an early start the next day. I'll spare the details of the flight, though I did have good meals and watched some crap movies. Got to L.a. eventually and went to the hostel, which turned out to be down the street from my cousins house. I me this rad english guy there named Pete and hung out til I left there. We were walking down some little side street and Dave from Within Blood drove past and surprised the shit out of me. Yeah so I called my cousins who demanded I come and stay with them, so I went and lived the high life in their house in Hollywood for a week or so. Had the biggest fuck around trying to get to the Carryxon show. It was on the first day of the 4th of July weekend so the traffic on the freeways was fucked, and then the trains only ran til like 6pm so I couldnt get a train back. Ended getting a ride with Simon and Cam and their mate. I missed the train to Corona, so I had to get the Riverside train and then get a taxi back to Corona. i saw this sprayed on the side of a train: Brush your teeth or you will die! Got to the show and only missed a bit of the first band, they were ok. Blue Monday were up next, I like them on record but the bored me live, the singer said some stuff about the war and bringing the troops home that I didnt really agree with, he seemed to miss the point. They played really well though. Allegiance were up next, nothing to wtire home about. No Turning Back did a guest spot before Champion, they were shitful. Champion were a let down, heaps rock star. they seemed so much more down to earth in Melbourne. Carryxon!!! started with the View and ended with Rethinking, and did every song in between, apart from Stabbed In The Face.
